Timeline

• 1951: Born.
• Organized in New York's gay-liberation movement and co-founded Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries with Marsha P. Johnson.

Major Actions

• Organized in New York's gay-liberation movement and co-founded Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries with Marsha P. Johnson.
• Expanded the public record around trans rights and youth mutual aid.

Controversies

• Rivera's conflicts with more assimilationist organizations reveal how movements can reproduce class, race, and gender exclusions internally.
• Eracii separates documented impact from sainthood: movements are collective, internally debated, and larger than any one card.

Card Notes

• Ratings are bounded Eracii mechanics, not objective measures of courage, suffering, or moral worth.
• Core arena read: trans rights and youth mutual aid.
• The Rights Era treats liberation as collective work; each portrait represents a wider movement, not a lone-hero substitute for it.
